Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Artesia, NM location. The role supports the Store Manager in daily store operations, customer service, merchandising, scheduling, and achieving store goals.

You will lead in the manager's absence, supervise staff, and ensure accuracy of inventory and financial controls while delivering outstanding service and promoting merchandise.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Develop action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Handle store duties in Store Manager's absence.
• Participate in recruitment, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure high-quality customer service.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Sell services and merchandise and assist customers during peak periods.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures.
• Protect assets and financial information and flag potential fraud.
