Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Albuquerque, NM location. This role reports to the Store Manager and supports store operations, staff supervision, and customer service excellence.

The Assistant Manager will be knowledgeable across product areas, assist with scheduling, merchandising, and achieving sales goals while upholding company policies. This position is non-exempt and hourly, with opportunities to grow within the store team.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets and responsibilities.
• Establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Consult with the Store Manager in establishing action plans for store needs.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise; uphold policies and standards.
