Job summary

Dollar Tree in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. Duties include supervising store activities, organizing merchandise, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities include assisting with openings/closings, processing directives, maintaining displays, and supporting payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; ensure store is presentable.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash; adhere to safety policies.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; foster a positive environment.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash disposal, and neatness.
