Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; able to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Experience in customer service and problem solving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and store functions.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas neat, stocked, and secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed; supervise and develop store associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
