Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Sioux Falls, SD to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and maintain stockroom and sales floor, while supporting opening/closing procedures and loss prevention.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and leadership skills to supervise and develop store associates in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits) and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom meeting company standards.
