Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily store functions, organizing merchandise, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.

You will help train Store Associates, process payroll and scheduling, and uphold company policies while delivering friendly service. This position is part-time and located at the Milford store, CT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience preferred in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support administration tasks including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets and adhere to safety policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
