Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, supervise associates, and help maintain clean, organized layouts and displays.

The role involves organizing merchandise from delivery to floor, assisting with payroll and scheduling, and ensuring safety and policy adherence. This part-time position offers opportunities to grow with a national retailer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store, restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, and manage waste.
• Other duties as assigned.
