Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking a store operations associate to support daily store functions, assist customers, and help manage merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor. This role emphasizes friendly service and efficient store presentation.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, enforcing policies, supervising and training associates, maintaining clean, organized areas, and ensuring safety and loss prevention. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged items and cash deposits.
• Keep store areas clean and stocked to company standards.
• Protect company assets including store cash.
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Maintain a positive, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Adhere to cleanliness and restocking duties, bathrooms, etc.
• Other duties as assigned. Licenses for alcohol/tobacco may be required.
