Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, support merchandising, and help maintain clean, organized sales floors while ensuring a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.

The role involves supervising and training Store Associates, handling opening/closing tasks, and upholding company policies. Part-time position based in Arkansas.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environments preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas and fixtures to company standards.
• Support in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and loss prevention.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates alongside the Store Manager.
