Job summary

Family Dollar in Milford, UT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily tasks, organize merchandise, and assist the Store Manager in supervising and training associates.

This role requires strong communication, customer service, and teamwork. You will ensure safety, protect store assets, and uphold company policies while maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; supervise and train associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with professional customer interactions.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
