Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is hiring an Assistant Manager for our Operations team. The role supports the Store Manager in daily store functions, sales, stocking, merchandising, and scheduling, and promotes exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in retail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and can act in the Store Manager's absence. This on-site position offers hourly pay of $14.80 and non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assists in supervising staff and training; maintains quality customer service.
• Takes responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence and ensures store goals are met.
• Maintains awareness of inventory, sales statistics and expenses to support profitability.
