Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Store Area Supervisor to oversee daily operations and merchandising for assigned areas in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure smooth freight flow and deliver exceptional customer experiences under the guidance of a Team Leader.

This role serves as a development path toward leadership positions within OSJL, with emphasis on training, merchandising, pricing accuracy, and maintaining store standards in a climate-controlled retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years professional retail experience required.
• Customer service, training, and merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Computer skills include Google platform and Qlik.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming environment.
• Bridge between customers and corporate service to resolve issues.
• Promote company-wide initiatives and programs.
• Create effective work schedules for the area.
• Guide and support team to complete tasks and grow.
• Assist with training and development opportunities.
• Manage merchandise presentation per Company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate signage, pricing, and backroom stock.
• Verify shipments for pricing accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Display priority items effectively and handle returns per policies.
• Uphold store safety and maintenance standards.
• Open/close procedures when designated; operate cash register as needed.
