Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area with responsibility for opening/closing, supervising associates, and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-merchandised sales floor. The role emphasizes customer service, brand representation, and adherence to company standards.

You will train and coach front-end staff, manage checkout flow, and ensure loss-prevention practices while supporting overall store performance and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Lead front-end operations to manage lines, train cashiers, and enforce safety and loss-prevention measures.
• Ensure compliance with dress code and maintain clean, well-merchandised store areas.
