Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in Memphis seeks an Area Supervisor to lead a defined area of the store and assist the Store Manager on Duty with opening and closing, supervising associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will ensure merchandise presentation, maintain a clean work area, and execute company operational processes as needed. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, brand representation, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintains safety and security on the sales floor and back-of-house areas.
Supervises associates and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.
Ensures proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
Manages opening/closing routines and store operations as Manager on Duty.
Trains and coaches associates on front-end procedures and loss prevention measures.
Executes merchandising standards, pricing, and stockroom organization.
Oversees end-to-end store duties including stock receipt, rack maintenance, and signage.
