Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain customer contact to ensure smooth processing and timely documentation.

The role requires knowledge of mortgage products and regulations, strong sales skills, and the ability to build external referral networks. Commission-based pay and benefits are provided, with NMLS registration required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Experience developing external business via referrals (realtors, builders, financial planners) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates progress.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Develops detailed marketing plans and networks with potential customers.
