Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to direct residential mortgage loan origination through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate loan requests, and maintain contact with borrowers to ensure documentation and progress are tracked.

The role emphasizes compliance with lending practices and federal regulations, plus developing external business with realtors, builders, and financial planners to grow production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Abundant mortgage experience developing external business via referral partners.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress of loan and obtaining required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Establishes detailed marketing plan with potential and existing loan customers and referral partners.
• Answers customer calls and walk-in customers to discuss loan products and qualifications.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Cross-sells bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and addresses violations.
• Participates in networking with professional organizations to promote loan products.
