Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through Regions’ branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain customer contact throughout the process.

The role emphasizes sales, external business development with referral partners, and adherence to lending regulations. A commission-based compensation plan applies, with performance-based rewards.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Abundant mortgage experience in developing external business via referral partners.
• NMLS registration is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress and obtaining documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Develops a detailed marketing/business plan and identifies potential loan customers and partners.
• Answers customer calls and walk-in inquiries about loan products and qualifications.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing customers.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
