Job summary

Amedisys in the United States is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in their homes to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life. You will collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and agency policies.

Primary responsibilities include delivering OT services under a physician-approved plan of care, ensuring the plan addresses identified

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OT program accredited by ACOTE (AOTA) or successor
• Current license to practice OT in the state you are assigned
• Current CPR certification
• Eligible to take or completed NBCOT entry-level exam
• 1+ years OT experience; if <1 year, regional clinical leaders' approval and mentoring

Responsibilities

• Deliver OT services under a physician-approved plan of care
• Ensure plan addresses identified problems and document rationale if not
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of OT service delivery
• Complete documentation timely and accurately
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case
• Other duties as assigned
