Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in their homes to promote independence, safety and improved quality of life. This role focuses on helping individuals regain or maintain daily living skills after illness or injury, in collaboration with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, health profession, or related field; or Licensed Registered Nurse
• 5+ years healthcare sales management experience
• 8+ years healthcare sales experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery provided under a physician approved plan of care
• Ensures the plan of care addresses all problems identified in the assessment or documents rationale if identified problems are not addressed in the plan of care
• Accountable for the safety and effectiveness of the occupational therapy service delivery process
• Completes documentation timely and accurately
• Supervises home health aide when RN is not active in the case
• Other duties as assigned
