Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through Amedisys, seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in their homes, promoting independence, safety, and improved quality of life. You will develop individualized plans of care following physician orders and coordinate with families and the clinical team.

Responsibilities include delivering OT services under a physician-approved plan, ensuring care addresses identified problems, timely documentation, and mentoring when needed.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• NBCOT entry-level certification exam eligible or completed.
• One year related OT experience.
• Approval from regional clinical leaders if experience is less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in their homes to promote independence, safety and quality of life.
• Develop individualized treatment plans per physician orders.
• Collaborate with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.
