Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy at home under an approved plan of care. You will assess patient needs, develop and implement plans, and document progress while ensuring safety and effectiveness of therapy.

Requirements include ACOTE/AOTA-accredited OT program completion, NBCOT eligibility, and CPR certification. One year of OT experience is preferred; additional mentoring may be required for less experience.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Graduate of an OT program accredited by ACOTE/AOTA.
• Eligible to take or have completed NBCOT certification exam.
• One year of related OT experience preferred; guidance required if less than one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services per physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensure plan of care addresses identified problems from assessment.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of therapy delivery.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.
