Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore in Huntsville, AL is seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties. This hands-on role requires the ability to work under pressure, follow safety protocols, and deliver high-quality craftsmanship while maintaining clear communication with customers and teammates.

You will operate equipment for water extraction, drying, and debris removal; document progress with photos and job-management

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, general labor, or skilled trades preferred
• Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire damage cleanup a plus
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varied environments; Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents
• Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures
• Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency response services
