Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties in the Birmingham area. This role emphasizes hands-on work, craftsmanship, and clear customer communication under pressure.

Ideal candidates bring restoration experience, willingness to obtain IICRC certifications, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation.
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers).
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials.
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents.
• Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools.
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software.
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites.
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members.
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response services.

Key Responsibilities

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls
