Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration for residential and commercial properties. The role emphasizes hands-on work, customer care, and adherence to safety standards during stressful loss events.

You will handle water extraction, drying, fire and smoke cleanup, equipment setup, documentation with mobile software, and maintain clean, safe job sites while coordinating with customers and team members. On-call rotations are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, or skilled trades.
• Knowledge of water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation.
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers).
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials.
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents.
• Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools.
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software.
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites.
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members.
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response services

• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varied environments
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls
