Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration for residential and commercial properties. This hands-on role requires working under pressure, delivering craftsmanship, and providing excellent customer care during loss situations.

You will handle water extraction, drying, smoke mitigation, and equipment setup while ensuring safety and quality. Overtime, on-call emergency response, and steady year-round work are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration or related trades.
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, drying, and fire/smoke mitigation.
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment.
• Demolish and remove damaged materials carefully.
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents.
• Take moisture readings with meters and thermal imaging tools.
• Document progress with photos and job management software.
• Maintain safe, organized job sites and communicate with customers.

We are hiring a skilled and motivated Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who works well under pressure, values craftsmanship, and understands the importance of customer care during stressful loss situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents
• Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response services

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, general labor, or skilled trades preferred
• Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire damage cleanup a plus
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varied environments
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls
