Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration on residential and commercial properties. You will respond to loss events, operate restoration equipment, and collaborate with customers and insurance adjusters.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. Training and IICRC certifications are provided or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration or related trades is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain IICRC certifications.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.
• Valid driverrs license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation.
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers).
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials.
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents.
• Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools.
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software.
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites.
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members.
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency response services.
