Job summary

LV Petroleum is seeking restaurant team members for our travel center in Virginia. Cooks play a vital role in food preparation, cooking, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly, while cashiers ensure a pleasant guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, following recipes, maintaining safety and cleanliness, managing inventory with FIFO, and collaborating with front-of-house staff to deliver orders promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking and assist with setup of kitchen.
• Cook or assist in cooking dishes according to menu specifications and recipes.
• Monitor food as it cooks to ensure correct temperature and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist with inventory and FIFO to minimize waste.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
• Follow established cooking procedures, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
