Job summary

LV Petroleum is seeking Restaurant Team Members for our travel center location. Cooks will prepare food, assist chefs, maintain a clean kitchen, and follow safety guidelines while ensuring quality meals. Cashiers will provide a friendly experience in a fast-paced setting; both roles require teamwork and adherence to recipes and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables and marinating meats.
• Follow recipes and ensure consistency and quality.
• Assist with kitchen setup and organization, ensuring ingredients and tools are available.
• Cook or assist in cooking dishes according to diner menu specifications.
• Monitor food to ensure correct temperature and quality.
• Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen; follow health and sanitation guidelines.
• Dispose of waste and follow proper waste management protocols.
• Ensure proper food storage and prevent cross-contamination.
• Assist with restocking kitchen supplies and inventory.
• Communicate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
• Help train new kitchen staff when required.
• Follow portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Adhere to allergen handling procedures.
