Job summary

HMSHost in Salt Lake City is seeking a Manager II to support branch management in tactically executing complex QSR or Casual Dine restaurant operations. The MGRII ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high standards.

The MGRII uses prescribed policies to make management decisions. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment, with schedule flexibility to cover openings, busy periods,

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 4 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, comprehend instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Assists the GM/AGM in managing by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within a defined group of restaurants or points-of-sale.
• Ensures compliance with all company beverage policies, and AB procedures.
• Participates in interviewing, hiring input, and promotions; coordinates scheduling to cover shifts.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures all shifts are covered.
• Maintains mandated rest breaks and meal periods for associates.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked and visually appealing.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Handles cash register transactions following HMSHost policies.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports safety concerns.
• Performs Health and Safety activities per guidelines.
• Places orders for units, receives goods, processes invoices.
• Maintains current contact information for associates.
