Qualifications

• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Speak effectively to customers.
• Perform basic arithmetic with 10s and 100s, using US currency.
• Follow company procedures.
• Interact with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Participates daily in food preparation, cooking, plating, cashiering and guest relations while intermittently supervising and directing others in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Serves as back up to crew members and covers breaks as needed.
• Ensures all food and beverages are made and presented according to Yoshinoya specifications, procedures, and safe handling requirements.
• Completes reports as directed by the General Manager.
• Follows proper merchandise storage procedures, including labeling procedures.
• Responds to customer complaints per policy, contacting management when refunds are necessary.
• Trains staff and monitors activities throughout the shift, providing feedback.
• Rotates stock using FIFO (first in/first out).
• Ensures cash handling and procedures are enforced.
• Keeps the restaurant clean and machinery functioning.
• Maintains a safe work environment, reports injuries, monitors change funds.
• Communicates effectively with staff and management.
• Assists GM with coin orders, cash drops, deposits into the double lock safe for armored car carrier.
• Attends in-house seminars.
