Job summary

DHC in Columbus, OH is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to supervise restaurant operations on the shift, ensure compliance with safety and cash-control policies, and support the Restaurant Management Team in delivering the business plan.

You will lead Team Members, organize shift schedules, assign duties, monitor attendance, and balance cash drawers while greeting guests and taking orders with a consistently positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English.
• Current student or high school diploma/GED preferred.
• Certified in all stations following the DHC Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Follow the steps outlined in the DHC Training Program to learn and train new skills, duties, and responsibilities.
• Abide and enforce the rules and direction given by the Restaurant Management Team.
• Organize shift schedules for Team Members and monitor attendance, tardiness, and time off.
• Assign duties to Team Members based on role and skill level.
• Greet Guests, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a positive attitude.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitary requirements in kitchen and dining areas.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare cash deposits as assigned by management.
• Train new and current Team Members and escalate performance issues to management.
• Communicate effectively with Management to resolve interpersonal issues as needed.
