Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running day-to-day drive-in operations and to train and assist other staff. You will help ensure a clean, safe, and efficient restaurant with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.

You will lead teams, manage shifts, monitor inventory and costs, and uphold Sonic standards while delivering friendly, fast service and a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year in retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication with basic math, reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches Team/Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops to meet standards.
• Directs and assigns staff to ensure food service meets operational standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties and monitors staffing levels.
• Monitors inventory levels and food cost; completes weekly inventory.
• Maintains records and documentation; reinforces customer service focus.
• Responds promptly to guest requests and resolves complaints with supervision.
