Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations. You will oversee staff, train teams, and help ensure a high standard of service and safety.

This role requires strong leadership, the ability to handle irregular hours, and a focus on guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, inventory and staffing oversight, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to train and coach team members and support staff.
• Strong communication and basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Direct, train and supervise team members, carhops and skating carhops.
• Ensure staffing levels, inventory, and food cost controls meet standards.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties and maintain records.
• Uphold customer service standards and resolve guest issues promptly.
• Adhere to employee policies and contribute to a safe, clean environment.
