Job summary

Shake Shack at DFW Airport seeks an Assistant Manager I to help run daily operations, coach team members, and uphold guest service standards in a fast-paced airport environment.

You will oversee labor, cost control, quality, and compliance while supporting recruiting, training, and performance reviews. The role requires ServSafe certification and strong leadership capabilities in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in restaurant/food service with 2 years of leadership experience.
• Must obtain alcohol awareness and ServSafe Food Safety certification.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions; communicate effectively with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations by monitoring cost, revenue, labor and inventory control, quality of products and services.
• Supervise unit employees, assign duties and ensure areas are clean and maintained.
• Maintain quality control records, including QA and loss prevention policies and cleaning programs.
• Ensure compliance with company/brand standards and regulatory requirements.
• Operate unit in accordance with airport requirements and monitor volume and activities.
• Maintain effective communication and associate relations; manage discipline and performance reviews.
• Assist with recruiting, selection, promotions and training of staff.
• Coordinate with maintenance to inspect and replace equipment as needed.
• Follow safe food handling and hygiene practices; maintain workplace safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
