Job summary

Aptos-St-Bbq in California is seeking a Manager to support the General Manager across multiple restaurant locations, overseeing daily operations and staff. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach to accountability, service quality, and operational excellence.

You will hire, train, and develop hourly employees, manage schedules and inventories, review finances, and ensure strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• One year of management experience required.
• Must possess Manager Food Safety certification (within one month).
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Able to work days, nights, and/or weekends.
• Able to walk or stand for long periods.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop hourly employees
• Identify and delegate responsibilities to leads and staff
• Ensure that high levels of customer service are being achieved
• Maintain and update proper employee documentation
• Ensure that established company processes and procedures are consistently followed
• Ensure that food standards are consistently being met, including quality and presentation
• Follow and manage proper sanitation and cleanliness standards in the restaurant
• Maintain schedules that ensure appropriate staffing levels in accordance with labor goals
• Maintain accurate weekly restaurant inventories to monitor and control food costs
• Review financial data weekly and initiate actions to increase sales and profits
• Manage daily deposits
