Job summary

Sonny’s BBQ in Tifton, GA is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, supervise hourly staff, and ensure the guest experience meets Sonny’s high standards. You will assist in hiring/training, scheduling, evaluating performance, and maintaining a safe, professional, and engaging atmosphere across all shifts.

Compensation includes an increased salary range of $48K–$55K plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus, plus benefits such as health insurance, PTO, and a strong focus on career

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• At least two years restaurant management experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Solid reading, writing, and mathematical skills
• Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations to deliver a memorable Sonny’s guest experience.
• Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate hourly team members.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and engaging atmosphere.
• Be the go-to resource for hourly staff and address daily needs.
• Set clear benchmarks and ensure smooth shift execution.
• Monitor hourly performance and provide follow-up actions.
• Respond to immediate store needs.
• Ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
• Enforce store policies, procedures, and programs.
• Work 45 hours weekly (50 hours during peak).
