Job summary

soar-restaurants-sonic seeks a General Manager/Operating Partner to lead a Sonic Drive-In in Texas. You will recruit, train, and develop staff; oversee guest experience; manage schedules, costs, and compliance; and drive local marketing initiatives.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Minimum 50 hours per week with irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience managing restaurant operations and staff
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws and safety regulations
• Strong communication, math, and accounting basics

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and manage assistant managers and staff
• Manage compensation levels per company guidelines
• Oversee all drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction
• Manage opening and closing duties
• Address guest and employee issues escalated appropriately
• Forecast and control food, labor, paper, and inventory costs
• Lead regular team meetings on standards and service quality
• Maintain records and prepare operational reports
• Develop and manage local marketing and performance plans
• Ensure maintenance of equipment and drive-in facilities
• Supervise vendor performance and compliance with policies and laws
• Perform additional duties and shift coverage as needed
• Maintain attendance and adherence to schedule
