Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Texas seeks a General Manager/Operating Partner to lead daily operations, coach a team of assistants and crew, and ensure excellent guest experiences at the drive-in.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, training, cost controls, vendor performance, and compliance with health and safety standards while driving local marketing and business performance.

This exempt role requires at least three years in restaurant management and a willingness to work long hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and supervise staff.
• Manage labor and food cost controls per company guidelines.
• Oversee daily drive-in operations and guest experience.
• Manage opening and closing duties.
• Handle guest and employee issues professionally.
• Plan, forecast, and adjust food, labor, inventory.
• Lead team meetings and maintain records.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
