Job summary

Fiesta Restaurant Group seeks a Manager in Training to prepare individuals for leadership roles through hands-on operations exposure across food safety, guest service, labor management, and team development.

The MIT will work with a leadership team to foster a high-performance culture, lead up to 25+ employees, and participate in hiring, training, and development while maintaining operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in restaurant industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Proficiency with technology systems, including HRIS platforms and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proven leadership ability and team development experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring food quality, safety, cleanliness, and consistent service and presentation.
• Coach and engage the team to foster a high-performance culture and accountability.
• Model and coach hourly team members and managers in guest service with urgency and care.
• Supervise a team of 25+ employees, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Lead daily pre-shift huddles to align goals and updates.
• Assist in scheduling, inventory, payroll, and reconciliation processes.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and developing both hourly staff and future leaders.
• Monitor labor and financial performance and drive key targets (sales, EBITDA).
• Maintain facility cleanliness and report issues promptly.
• Ensure safety compliance and a safe, inclusive work environment.
• Support guest experience initiatives to improve satisfaction and reviews.
• Adapt to changes with a positive attitude and sound decision-making.
