Job summary

Fiesta Restaurant Group seeks a Manager in Training (MIT) to gain hands-on experience across restaurant operations. You will assist with food safety, guest service, labor management, and team development, leading a team of 25+ and partnering with senior leaders to drive operational excellence.

The MIT will participate in hiring, onboarding, and coaching initiatives while supporting the achievement of key targets and a safe, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in the restaurant industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Proficiency with technology systems, including HRIS platforms, Outlook, and internal company tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proven leadership ability and team development focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day restaurant operations with focus on quality, safety and service.
• Coach and engage the team to sustain a high‑performing culture.
• Supervise 25+ employees and ensure regulatory standards compliance.
• Lead daily pre‑shift huddles to align goals and updates.
• Assist in scheduling, inventory, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing leaders.
• Monitor labor and financial performance to hit targets.
