Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to oversee restaurant operations, scheduling, forecasting, labor management and inventory. The AGM will learn and master competency-based leadership while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

The role focuses on supporting financial performance, staff development, and maintaining high standards of food safety and service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Willing to work nights and weekends, with travel as needed.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Adapt to fast-paced environments and solve problems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA's standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and feedback.
• Support the General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing concerns.
• Lead initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Support with financial reporting and adherence to budget guidelines.
