Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with the General Manager and Area Leader to implement store action plans, manage schedules, forecast labor, control inventory, and mentor hourly Team Members.

You will uphold food quality, safety, and guest service standards while driving profitability and customer satisfaction through hands-on leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and develop solutions to improve restaurant performance.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.
• Generous, friendly demeanor with guests.
• Completes tasks within established timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing.
• Ensure adherence to standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards.
• Lead by example in customer service and motivate the team.
• Support financial tracking, reporting, and budgeting activities.
• Assist with compliance with cash handling procedures.
