Job summary

HMSHost in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Manager II to assist branch management in tactically executing complex QSR or Casual Dine operations. The role ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high operational standards.

You will supervise day-to-day activities of associates, oversee schedules, enforce food safety and AB policies, participate in interviewing and hiring, and maintain cash handling and safety procedures to drive consistent guest service.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 4 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Must be able to read, understand instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
• Assists the GM/AGM in managing by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit
• Ensures compliance with all company adult beverage policies and AB procedures
• Participates in hiring input, recommends termination or status changes to the GM for associates
• Assigns work tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered
• Monitors mandated rest breaks and meal periods for associates
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing
• Ensures equipment is in good working order
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per cash handling policies
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports safety concerns
• Understands Health and Safety activities per policy
• Places unit orders, receives goods, processes invoices
• Maintains current contact information for all restaurant associates
