Job summary

Detour American Grille in Fishers, IN seeks an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality.

You will lead staff, manage scheduling, coaching, and training, control P&L, develop the annual budget with a supervisor, and promote revenue growth through upselling and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as salaried manager in full service, casual dining.
• Experience with full service alcohol serving facility desirable.
• Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team.
• Some exposure to P&L and sales building highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee every aspect restaurant operations.
• Ensure excellent guest service that meets or exceeds expectations.
• Ensure that the restaurant is adequately staffed to meet guest needs.
• Control day-to-day operations - profit & loss, cash control, and financial reviews.
• Develop the restaurant's annual operating budget with area supervisor and manage P&L centers.
• Operate the business in accordance with company policies and laws.
• Interview, hire, train employees; plan, assign and direct work; evaluate performance.
• Manage all shifts, scheduling, planning, and uphold standards and cleanliness.
• Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour.
• Enforce safe work behaviors and monitor food quality and cleanliness.
• Meet restaurant P&L and expense goals; promote upselling.
• Maintain professional, hospitable atmosphere.
