Job summary

Whataburger Restaurants is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead a high-volume location and develop a 50+ team. The role blends customer focus, food quality, and operations, with a clear path toward Operating Partner opportunities.

You’ll drive hospitality, training, and profitability while upholding food safety and brand standards, in a role anchored at your home restaurant with occasional support at nearby locations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs, and meet physical demands.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain during training).
• Valid driver’s license with active auto liability coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations to meet quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Champion hospitality and guest service standards by creating friendly, fast experiences.
• Coach and support Team Members to reach their full potential.
• Achieve restaurant goals in sales, labor, food cost, and profitability.
• Ensure food safety and workplace safety while upholding brand standards.
• Model Whataburger values and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Lead shift transitions and ensure smooth operations across all day parts.
• Guide talent development, training, hiring, and retention with restaurant leadership.
• Support business planning, performance reviews, and continuous improvement.
