Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee a high-volume operation, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness while coaching a large team at your home restaurant. You’ll drive guest experience and associate development in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage labor, food cost, and safety standards, with growth opportunities toward Operating Partner roles, and participate in leadership sessions that strengthen the organization as a whole.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs, and meet physical demands.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain during training.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain automobile liability at minimum levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations to meet quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Champion hospitality and guest service standards by creating friendly, fast, and authentic Whataburger experiences.
• Coach, develop, and support Family Members to reach their full potential.
• Be responsible for achieving restaurant goals across sales, labor, food cost, and profitability.
• Ensure food safety, workplace safety, and brand standards are upheld.
• Model Whataburger values and create a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Lead shift transitions and maintain smooth operations across all day parts.
• Guide talent development, training, hiring, and retention with restaurant leadership.
• Support business planning, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
