Job summary

Whataburger seeks a Restaurant Manager to oversee a high-volume location with a team of 50+ Family Members. You’ll drive operations, guest experience, and teamwork across Customer, Quality, and People AORs, building leadership skills for future opportunities.

You’ll manage sales, labor, food cost, and safety, while mentoring staff and upholding Whataburger standards to deliver consistently great meals and service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, and varying hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs., and meet physical demands.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain during training.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations to meet quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Champion hospitality and guest service standards, creating friendly, fast experiences.
• Coach, develop and support team members to reach their potential.
• Achieve restaurant goals across sales, labor, food cost, and profitability.
• Ensure food safety, workplace safety, and brand standards are upheld.
• Model Whataburger values and create an inclusive work environment.
• Lead shift transitions and ensure smooth operations across day parts.
• Guide talent development, training, hiring, and retention with restaurant leadership.
• Support business planning, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
