Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee a high-volume operation, drive quality, service, and teamwork, and develop a 50+ member team. You’ll rotate through areas of responsibility to build leadership depth and prepare for future operating partner opportunities.

You’ll lead daily operations, uphold hospitality standards, coach staff, and drive profitability while ensuring safety and brand adherence across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Be able to meet business needs and have open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs, and meet physical demands.
• Have 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• Possess ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain during training).
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain auto liability in your state.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations to meet quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Champion hospitality and guest service standards by creating friendly, fast experiences.
• Coach, develop, and support Family Members to reach their full potential.
• Achieve restaurant goals across sales, labor, food cost, and profitability.
• Ensure food safety, workplace safety, and brand standards are upheld.
• Lead shifts, manage transitions, and ensure smooth operations across day parts.
• Support talent development, training, hiring, and retention in partnership with leadership.
• Contribute to business planning, performance reviews, and continuous improvement.
