Café Yumm! in the Portland area is seeking a seasoned Restaurant Manager to lead operations with a focus on guest satisfaction, safety, and quality.

You will train staff across all stations, manage daily duties, and drive profitability while maintaining high service standards. The role requires 3+ years in the restaurant industry with supervisory experience, a ServSafe/OSHA mindset, and a passion for healthy, sustainable food.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in the restaurant industry with increasing responsibility, including supervisory experience.
• Ability to train staff across stations and manage shifts and budgets.
• Valid Oregon Food Handler’s Permit or ability to obtain; driver’s license and ServSafe Cert are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train team across all stations: cashier, bar, dishwasher, expeditor, prep, grill/salad.
• Order, receive, and manage food, equipment, and supplies.
• Count cash drawers, maintain safe, and handle deposits.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and where needed, discipline team members.
• Investigate and resolve guest concerns and complaints.
• Drive restaurant sales and profitability, monitor labor and COGS.
• Maintain team schedules, timecards, and shift coverage.
