Job summary

Smashburger is hiring a Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the team, and enhance guest experiences under the guidance of the General Manager. You’ll train staff, manage scheduling, and ensure food safety and regulatory compliance, while supporting local marketing and cost control initiatives.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of restaurant management experience, strong communication, and flexibility with hours.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of manager experience in restaurants.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Follow Smashburger uniform standards.
• Follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by Smashburger, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Must successfully complete Smashburger training program.
• Strong communication with restaurant management, front line employees and corporate support teams.
• People management to lead restaurant teams.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proven time management, consistency, and organizational skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in high and low temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and manage shift leaders and team members.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and improve guest satisfaction and service standards.
• Manage scheduling, labor costs, and team performance.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and cost control (COGS).
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing employee development.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and operational compliance.
• Assist with local marketing and store initiatives.
